Home Delivered Meals

Elder Nutrition Program, HESSCO Elder Services

HESSCO Elder Services’ nutrition program operates a Meals on Wheels program serving the south Norfolk County area. Home delivered hot lunch meals are available five days a week to people 60 years of age or older, and their spouses, who have limited mobility and are unable to prepare meals because they lack the physical, emotional or cognitive ability to attend a meal site or prepare a nutritious meal.

Hours: 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
The Millis Council on Aging offers transportation services to seniors and persons with disabilities who reside in the town. Transportation is offered via bus and volunteer drivers. Two buses are handicapped accessible with a hydraulic lift ramp. All transportation is by appointment only. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance by calling the Senior Center. Priority is given to medical appointments. Transportation is also made available for weekly shopping trips to local shopping centers. Based on availability, transportation is offered to the Senior Center for activities, nursing home visits, local hairdresser appointments, voting, post office, banking, town offices and the library. Passengers riding the van must be fully capable of getting on and off the van with only minimal assistance from the driver. Suggested donations: $2 per person per trip locally; $3 to Bellingham, Medway; $5 to Natick, Norwood, Milford, Newton; and $25 round trip, plus tolls and parking for Boston.
