Natick hosting "Options for Older Adults" housing fair on Oct. 16

The Natick Community-Senior Center will be hosting a housing fair, “Options for Older Adults,” on Thursday, Oct. 16.

The event is free to attend and will feature information about local housing options for older adults and over 30 exhibitors from local independent living and assisted living housing sites, nursing homes, affordable housing, realtors specializing in elder adult clients, home care representatives and agencies that help older adults stay at home. BayPath Elder Services will be on hand to answer questions about its many programs and services, including our online caregiver resource with demonstrations and information about

In addition, there will be a number of educational sessions being held throughout the afternoon. Here is a schedule for those sessions:

11 a.m. -12 p.m.: Long-term Care Planning, with Tim Loff, legal expert in elder law

12-1 p.m.: Downsizing and Getting Rid of Stuff, with Kazia Navas, professional organizer

12:30-1:30 p.m.: Rightsizing Your Move, with Daryl Lippman, senior real estate specialist

2:30-3:30 p.m.: Balance and Falls Prevention, with physical therapist nurse Margie Anderson from the Natick Visiting Nurses Association

3:30-4:30 p.m.: Low-Income and Public Housing Information, with Joan O’Dell and Dot Wright from the Natick Housing Authority and Wendy Blaser, Sherwood Village senior property manager
