Golden Pond in Hopkinton hosting presentations on chronic pain self-management, veterans' benefits
By Douglas Flynn / March 10, 2015
Golden Pond Assisted Living in Hopkinton continues its slate of informational events throughout March, giving area caregivers opportunities to learn about issues that can affect their caregiving roles.

Each Monday through April 6, Golden Pond will host a Chronic Pain Self-Management Lecture Series. Presented by the Healthy Living Center for Excellence MetroWest in conjunction with BayPath Elder Services, the series will cover practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue and stress. Lectures will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. on March 16, 23 and 30 and April 6.

On Saturday, March 21, information about programs and benefits for veterans will be the subject of “Veteran’s Talk: What Is the Veteran’s Aid and Attendance Benefit and Who Is Eligible?” The talk will be presented by John Givner, Director of Veteran Services for Hopkinton, Holliston, Medway and Ashland. The event will run from 9-10:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, March 11, Golden Pond will hold an open house reception. Wine and cheese will be served while information about Golden Pond’s independent and assisted living options are presented from 6-8 p.m. There will also be an open house reception on Saturday, March 21, with coffee, tea and muffins served from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

To RSVP for any of these events, call 508-435-1250. Golden Pond Assisted Living is located at 50 West Main Street in Hopkinton.
