A Brighter Day Memory Cafe will hold its final meeting at Heritage at Framingham on Sunday, March 18 before moving to a new day and location in April. Starting on April 19, the Cafe will move to Temple Beth Am in Framingham and will be held on the third Thursday of each month.

COME 2 B Dementia Friendly Marlborough, the Marlborough Council on Aging and Welly's Restaurant are bringing a new memory cafe to Marlborough in January. The Time Out Cafe will meet on the third Sunday of every other month and offers caregivers and their loved ones with dementia an opportunity to socialize in a supportive environment.

Pleasantries Adult Day and Consulting Services and the Sudbury Senior Center have teamed up to provide support to those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or another dementia with a monthly memory café. "The Comfort Food Caring Café" will hold its next session on Monday, April 4.

Memory cafes are a unique resource for caregivers and the loved ones they are caring for who have Alzheimer's or another form of dementia. Fortunately, they are also becoming available in more places, especially for caregivers in MetroWest with cafes in Marlborough, Sudbury, Franklin, Shrewsbury and Worcester offering a variety of different days and times for caregivers to take advantage of their offerings.

Pleasantries Adult Day and Consulting Services will be offering new sessions at two memory cafes in the coming weeks. The Create A Better Day Cafe will hold its next session on Sunday, October 23 at Pleasantries in Marlborough. The Caring Cafe will hold its next session at the Sudbury Senior Center on Friday, November 4. These cafes are unique programs offering both caregivers of people with Alzheimer's or another dementia and their loved ones a chance for some respite and socialization.
